Breakfast with Santa

Also starting in 2013, the Knights of Columbus offers Breakfast with Santa, an event that gets Ridgefielders into the Christmas spirit with great food, music, season-themed games and photos with Santa.  

 

The event is free of charge.   

Christmas Traditions - Old and New

Christmas Creche

Our decades-old tradition of the Christmas Creche continues in front of the parish office at the corner of Catoonah Street and High Ridge Avenue.   The creche, and the nativity scene contained within, was recently rebuilt and restored.   This serves as an important reminder for the entire community to keep Christ in Christmas.

A second smalller creche can be found at the Parish Grotto in front of St. Mary Catholic School.  This creche serves as a more peaceful backdrop for those who wish to engage in contemplative prayer before the Holy Family. 

Family Christmas Show

 

Starting in December 2013, the Knights of Columbus Family Christmas Show is a must see for the young and young-at-heart.  

 

All proceeds benefit St. Catherine's Academy (the only school in the Bridgeport Diocese serving the intellectually disabled) and  Sunrise Cottage, a group home serving the intellectually disabled in Ridgefield.

 

Past performers include:

 

  • Magician Tom Pesce who has delighted audiences for decades with his unique fun-filled show.

 

  • Singer/Songwriter Kevin Briody, a two-time Emmy award winner, who brought the Christmas spirit with songs from his album including his hit - "Walnuts and Rice"
